Is the church prepared to make radical changes in her doctrines and standard of conduct in other to adjust to her teachings and practices to the progress of the times? The church is changing everyday as the world technology grows. The church has a fear of going obsolete so they try to adjust their doctrine to suit the current technology. The church has always been against any form of birth control and abortion but due to pressure from its flock, the church has allowed its members to use some form of birth control. Abortion is still considered as murder by the church.
In conclusion, although technology has provided man with more free time, less and less of it is used for leisure. More and more parents spend less and less time with their children. Even when parents are home they prefer sitting in front of the TV with a remote in hand or spend time on the computer than talk with their children or spouse. This has led to the increase in break-ups of marriages. The children are not paid attention to and they are allowed to dabble into all forms of mischief.
Technology has not always created disunity in the Christian culture, most technology has been used by the Christian community to their advantage which goes to show the neutrality of technology these forms of technology. The Internet has been called the tool of the devil by some Christian leaders and have advised their followers to keep away from it. Other leaders have seen ways of making the Internet work for their community and have thus used it. Technology would continue to grow and the world would continue to change, if Christianity wants to continue it must change also.
