INTRODUCTION:

The technological age we now live in is not new. There have been ages Characterized by the invention of the wheel, gunpowder, and the steam engine, but this all left the bulk of man's religion untouched. For the first time in human history, technical devices such as the computer, cellular phones, and televisions have pervaded human life, and these devices to a large extent control his life. These modern devices have contributed to a change in lifestyle of the Christian both advantageously and disadvantageously. Mesthene once wrote

"...in terms of the impact that technology has on religion. The formulations and the institutions of religion are not immune to the influences to technological change, for they too tend toward an accommodation to changes in the social milieu in which they function" 1

Modern man has come to accept the method of technique as the quickest and surest answer to every problem. There are techniques of reading, techniques of writing, technique of making friends, techniques of communication, techniques of counseling etc. The purpose of this page is to enumerate some changes this technological age has had on the Christian culture.
